This advice is important for so many writers. I write on Medium as a fascinating side-project. I enjoy writing about ideas but I enjoy the process of learning about how to succeed in Medium. I don’t expect Medium to ever be my full-time income but the earnings here can give me more freedom in other aspects of my life.

I see people boasting about going all-in on Medium and earning $100 a month. How are they paying their bills?! Working minimum wage in the UK for 8 hours a day gives you $1740 a month. Which would put people well in the top 1% of Medium writers. Fellow writers you’ve got to love the process a this is not a get rich quick program.
