As a moderator of Medium Dreamers, I can definitely understand where you are coming from. The other day I was called a liar and told ‘You are lost’ for rejecting a post which didn’t follow our guidelines! Clap-for-clap and follow-for-follow can stop people from realizing they need to improve the quality of their work. I’m not a fan of people demanding others like their work because they liked theirs.

I try to encourage conversations rather than rants to humanize other writers to make it easier to connect. I’ve met some great people through the groups. None of us are perfect writers so the right mindset for the groups is what can I learn and what can I teach others.

Thanks for the reminder and I hope this challenges people’s mindsets!
